Study on the Health and Educational Status of Workers in Secandary School Attached to Textile Industrial Firms

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was carried out to investigate health and educational problem caused by overwork. The results were summarized as follows. 1. General characteristics
The mean age was 18.5, 64.8 % of respondants came from rural community and 83.9 %, of them lived in a dormitory. 12.6 % of them had a family to support and mean number of dependants was two.
2. Labour conditions
1) First working age was 16.7, mean working duration was 21 ms and Mean level of wages was three hundred thousand won.
2) 30.3 % of them experienced accident during work. They gave an answer about chief site and cause of accident was hand or foot, and unskilled labour. Dust was indicated as a most problem of working environment.
3. School of Work and Confiit
1) 15.7 % of them were absent from school and main cause of absence was fatigue or cold. Barrier to study was drowsiness.
2) Chief factor of conflict was friend in school, food condition in dormitory and weak condition of working environment in factory.
They communicated with friend for solving Conflict.
4. Health Status 78.9 % of respondants complained cold as a subjective Symptoms and 58.2 % of them complained Cheiropompholyx.
Subjective fatigue symptoms were Drowsiness, Absent-mindedness, local symtoms. Mean number of complaints was 5.8, 3.7, 4.7 respectively.
